| Initially
known as Cheddleton Slox Stox Club and based in
the town of the same name, the club was
established in 1989. Now based in Leek,
Staffordshire, the club consists of a diverse
group of people who get together once every two
weeks for a chin wag, a laugh, a drink or two and
... mmm... is there something else... oh yes -
and a few laps around a Slot Car racing track in
attempt to either win a few races or generally
put a big bumper in the works for those who are
trying to win a few races. The people are of a wide variation
of ages, come from a variety of backgrounds and
have varying levels of ability which helps to
ensure a good night is always had by all. Some of
the club members have been racing for years, some
a short time and visitors and new members are
always welcome.
Our track is custom built, made up
of three wooden sections and sits on custom built
trestles. It has six lanes and utilises copper
tape. The track is based on an oval with all the
lanes converging at the end of the back straight.
Each lane features a reverse switch.
